Enhancing New Zealand’s Position in Primary Sector Value Chains

Colin Harvey BioAs a country our economic performance and standard of living is directly connected to the market success of our primary sector.  Colin Harvey will talk about how New Zealand must find a better way through new and novel approaches to meet the many market demands jostling for our attention.  Knowledge, science and innovation must be the key levers for enhancing the returns from our primary sector industries.  But we must also move to introduce supporting systems and infrastructure that demonstrate our ability to operate at a world class level.  We need to develop high value pathways to selected lucrative markets around the globe, those that nurture and exploit the quality, integrity and authenticity associated with our country.  From his extensive background in the primary sector, Colin will address how NZ needs to transform its thinking and embrace innovation and its uptake as a way forward for New Zealand’s future.

This event has been sponsored by NZTE, MAF and Scion.
